When a cat feels safe and comfortable in its environment, it rubs its head against the furniture, the corners of walls, or the bottom of the curtains, leaving a substance called the facial pheromone. This pheromone is specific to cats and conveys a message of security and reassurance.

By mimicking the cat’s natural facial pheromones, Feliway^® creates a state of familiarity and security in the cat’s local environment.
